- (2/10/1888 Breslau-1/29/1944 Berlin) (Germany)Painter, graphic artist, decorative painter, bookplate designer, and publisher. Studied painting at academies in Breslau and Dresden. Berlin based artist achieved acclaim for illustrating Dante's Inferno and the Bible. He also illustrated erotica, such as Lautensack's "Erotic votive feast." One of his prints was confiscated by the authorities because of its explicitness.
